# Understanding the Dashboard

> Find your way around the FAII dashboard - where everything is and what each section tells you.

## Dashboard Layout

The main dashboard is organized into these sections:

### AI Authority Rank (Top Center)

Your master score displayed prominently with:

* **Current score** (0-100)
* **Trend indicator** - Arrow showing direction since last session
* **Score change** - Numeric difference from previous measurement
* **Component mini-bars** - Quick visual of each sub-score

### KPI Cards

Key metrics displayed as cards with trend arrows:

| Card                      | What It Shows                                         |
| ------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| **Mention Rate**          | % of queries where your brand appears in AI responses |
| **Average Position**      | Your typical ranking in AI recommendation lists       |
| **Sentiment Score**       | Overall positive/negative perception (-100 to +100)   |
| **Share of Voice**        | Your mentions vs. total market mentions               |
| **SERP Visibility**       | Organic search ranking performance                    |
| **AI Overview Citations** | How often Google AI Overviews cite your content       |

Each card shows:

* Current value
* Change from last session (green up / red down)
* Sparkline trend over recent sessions

### Platform Performance

A breakdown of your visibility across each AI platform:

* ChatGPT mention rate and position
* Claude mention rate and position
* Perplexity mention rate and position
* Grok mention rate and position
* Gemini mention rate and position

### Visibility Trend Chart

A timeline showing your AI Authority Rank and key metrics over time. Use the date range selector to view:

* Last 7 days
* Last 30 days
* Last 90 days
* Custom range

### Top Opportunities

A prioritized list of gaps and opportunities detected by FAII:

* Keywords where competitors are mentioned but you're not
* AI Overviews where you could be cited
* Platforms where you're underperforming
* Content topics that could improve your visibility

### Competitor Overview

Quick comparison showing:

* Your rank vs. each competitor
* Share of voice distribution
* Recent displacement events (who overtook whom)

### Recent Activity

A feed showing:

* Latest monitoring session results
* Significant score changes
* New competitor discoveries
* Alert triggers

## Sidebar Navigation

The left sidebar provides access to all major sections:

## Quick Actions

Available from the dashboard:

* **Run Now** - Trigger an immediate monitoring session
* **Add Keywords** - Quick-add new keywords to track
* **Generate Content** - Create content for a detected gap
* **Export Report** - Download dashboard data as PDF/CSV

## Filtering Data

Most dashboard views support filtering by:

* **Time range** - Date picker for custom periods
* **Platform** - Show data for specific AI platforms
* **Keyword** - Focus on individual keywords
* **Competitor** - Compare against specific competitors

## Tips

* **Check daily**: Even with weekly monitoring, the dashboard surfaces important changes
* **Use the trend view**: A single session's data has natural variation - trends over 4+ sessions show real patterns
* **Click into details**: Every card and chart is clickable for deeper data
* **Set up alerts**: Configure notifications for significant score changes so you don't have to check manually
